nATIVE BAR
Adaptive Reuse | Completed - 2023 | Mumbai, India
The Native negroni bar, which welcomes visitors through the Cochin Street entrance, serves as an exemplary testament to how lighting can set the mood for an entire experience. Touted as the city’s only negroni bar, a well-illuminated island bar floats in the centre of the space, beckoning guests to savour expertly crafted cocktails.
The lighting design aimed to enhance the industrial feel of the space while maintaining an inviting ambiance.
The warm light, was carefully concealed wherever possible - they were incorporated into the bar, integrated into the floating displays, and even built into the floor. A prime example is the under-lit giant sculptures to the right of the bar, which were the original cooling coils from the ice factory.
These distinctive lighting choices not only define the space but also contribute to the overall narrative of IF.BE, bringing its history to life.
